What are Bioresorbable internal fixation devices?

Bioresorbable internal fixation devices are innovative medical products (screws, plates, pins, cages) used to stabilize bone fragments during the healing process. They are manufactured from a biocompatible polymer–mineral composite (PLLA+HA) using 3D printing technology and are individually selected based on the patient’s CT or MRI data. Unlike metallic constructions, such implants perform their function only for the healing period, after which they gradually resorb and are replaced by native bone tissue.
