What are forearm bone implants?

Forearm bone implants (ulna, radius) are individually manufactured 3D-printed devices used to fill bone defects after fractures, resections, or reconstructive surgeries. Such implants provide anatomical accuracy, stability, and promote tissue regeneration. The devices are created based on CT scans of the specific patient, allowing precise adaptation of their shape and dimensions to the affected area.

HOW WE WORK?

1. Submit the CT scan in DICOM format

3. Approve the specifications — we proceed with printing

CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION

How are they certified as medical devices?
Medical devices are classified as Class III products (the highest level of safety control) in accordance with Technical Regulation No. 753 dated 02.10.2013. They are considered surgically invasive, intended for long-term use, and are not active medical devices.
What supporting documentation is provided with the product?
The following accompanying documentation is included with the product:

• Instructions for use
• Packing list
How should the doctor arrange the device for the patient?
The doctor processes the implant according to the standard procedure: records the medical indications in the patient’s chart, adds information about the implant to the surgical protocol, enters the product’s serial number, product name, and manufacturer, attaches the product label to the medical documentation, and specifies the implant in the patient’s discharge summary — this ensures full traceability and compliance with the requirements for medical devices.
