biodrook™ at LOTOS 2026: Advancing Dialogue in Orthopedics and Traumatology

On October 16, 2026, the biodrook™ team attended LOTOS 2026 (Lviv October Trauma Ortho Symposium) in Lviv, Ukraine. The symposium focused on current challenges in orthopedics and traumatology, modern surgical approaches, and the treatment of complex clinical cases. The event provided an opportunity for medical professionals to exchange knowledge and discuss approaches to traumatic injuries, bone defects, and reconstructive surgery.

Key Topics in Medical Technology Development

For biodrook™, topics related to personalized treatment, bone preservation, and the application of modern technologies in reconstructive surgery were particularly relevant. Several areas closely align with our work:
  • Patient-specific implants. Considering individual anatomy and the characteristics of bone defects when planning reconstruction.
  • 3D printing in orthopedics. Exploring the potential of additive manufacturing to produce implants tailored to specific clinical needs.
  • Biomaterials for bone reconstruction. Understanding the role of material composition and properties in the development of implant solutions.

biodrook™ and ResorBone™

biodrook™ develops ResorBone™ — patient-specific bioresorbable implants made from a composite of polylactic acid (PLA) and hydroxyapatite. This approach combines personalized implant design with biomaterial development focused on supporting bone healing. Participation in LOTOS 2026 gave our team an opportunity to engage with the medical community, exchange perspectives, and gain further insight into the clinical challenges faced by specialists in orthopedics and traumatology. We thank the LOTOS 2026 organizers, speakers, and participants for the professional exchange and discussions on the future of medical technology.
